Dh just asked me tonight if I wrapped "the present I bought myself." I told him I hadn't but it was still taped up, so I guess I'll wrap it tonight.

He also said that he was talking to friends at work about presents and that he was bad at buying them, and never knew what to get, and this year I had bought some for myself. He said that he couldn't bring himself to tell them that I bought a doll. Ha ha, honey, the first step is admitting it!

    BalletMom,

This Santa has been doing Santa for 24 years now. I have kids that range from 24 to 3.I learned a few tricks. Last year Caroline got her first doll (Kirsten). She saw her before I got up. I was so bummed that I did not see her face when she open the box. I am a determine Santa.

I also wrapped my 21 son and 14 daughters digital cameras up. They got the same message on their box. They also get up during the night and sneak..LOL

I buy special wrapping paper that Santa only sees. I don't use it on presents under the tree. I also only wrap the very special Santa gifts...

Teri...I used to do the same thing with the Santa paper when my kids were little!

I have always wrapped everything, so my kids never got to Christmas before us! They did wake us up before dawn...but that's another story!

Oh, you HAVE to wait!!! Just one more day - you can do it!

**Realizing she would NEVER be able to be that good, Kimberly breathes a sigh of relief that HER Addy will not be here until a day or so after Christmas.**

Kids will be kids. I remember when ours were little they opened & rewrapped everything. I didn't discover this until another year when I noticed one package looked rather messy.

So, I measured the box of the item, then went down to the store & bought the most babyish game I could find that measured the same & put it in that same paper. When our DS tore into the gift, he "froze". He knew I had a camera ready so of course I couldn't see his face but the body language was enough. I laughed until I cried & its a memory that will stay with me & make me giggle whenever I think of it. To think they used to always blame things on the cats...

Well, she's wrapped up and only about 4 or 5 hours until I get to open!

To continue on the curious kids thread--my aunt got a call when my cousin was in high school from one of her guy friends, "Mrs. P., you've gotta come over and help me. I unwrapped this present, and I can't figure out how to get it back!"

The one time I opened a present early, I was probably about 13 or 14. My 11 yo sister had bought me a gift with her own $$ and was so excited and proud. So, I just had to peek early. It was some eyeshadow. So, after I had opened it up, I dropped a few hints that I really needed some new eyeshadow. She was so happy when I opened it that she had gotten me something I wanted/needed!! So, I was bad, but I was good, too. . . .

Only a few more hours for you to go. Hang in there. We are having Christmas Eve at our house. The kids will get to open a gift (New PJ's) after dinner. My nieces will then spend the night with us. Santa leaves his gifts at my mom's house. When the girls wake up we will call my sister and parents and we will meet there in about 10 minutes. The kids march in and each has a spot in front of the fireplace. Most of Santa's gifts aren't wrapped but I think their dolls will be . Santa likes it this way because he doesn't have to worry about being so quiet. Last year he also left my sister Addy in a beautiful box complete with a silver bell and letter. It's so fun to BELIVE in the magic of Christmas.
